About the Journal

Quilon International Journal of Developments in Engineering Sciences and Technology (QIJDEST) is a peer-reviewed open access journal dedicated to the publication and dissemination of original articles encompassing the latest advancements in all realms of engineering science and technology. Our journal features English-language original papers that significantly contribute to the comprehension of engineering science while enhancing engineering technology and education. Submissions can be theoretical (including computational), experimental, or a combination of both. All contributions should be previously unpublished and not currently under consideration for publication elsewhere.

Year of Commencement: 2024

Frequency: QIJDEST Publishes twelve issues annually.

Submission Deadline: There is no deadline for paper submission. Manuscripts can be submitted throughout the year.

AIM AND SCOPE

QIJDEST aims to bring new development techniques in modelling, calculation and experimental validation among the researchers and academician to disseminate their novel and original scientific research contributions in all areas of science and engineering. QIJDEST lays the foundation of sharing research knowledge among the researchers. All the submitted papers are peer-reviewed by the experts in the relevant field of science and technology and are published online immediately after receiving the final version of the manuscript in the upcoming recent issue.

As an Open Access journal,  QIJDEST is committed to providing free access to its articles without any charges to readers or their institutions. This Open Access policy enables users to exercise their rights to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles, with the condition that proper acknowledgment and citation are given.

AUTHOR GUIDELINES

QIJDEST is a scholarly open access online international journal, which aims to publish peer-reviewed original articles in the field of science and technology. QIJDEST will check all the submitted manuscripts against plagiarism using Turnitin plagiarism detection software. Article with plagiarism below  9% is only considered for review. If plagiarism issue arises even after publication of the manuscript, the corresponding manuscript will be removed.

Both research and review articles can be submitted to journal via online submission system. Authors can submit their unpublished original articles in journal format with the extension .doc or .docx at the time of submission. Maximum number of authors allowed is 7 only.The authors' details such as name, email ids will not be permitted to modify at the later stages of the peer review process.

Submitted manuscripts will be reviewed within 20 days of time (approximately). All articles are subject to compulsory double-blind peer review. Articles are peer-reviewed by independent subject matter experts. Once the manuscript is accepted for publication the authors will be informed through E-Mail. Authors should  transfer the copyright form along with the final version of the manuscript to the editorial office through Email. Once a manuscript is rejected for publication it will not be reconsidered again for publication. Authors are informed not to resubmit the rejected manuscripts.

Article Processing Charges

QIJDEST is an open access journal where all the operating expenses are met from the article processing charges. The article processing charges of the accepted articles are as follows:

International Authors: USD 50

Indian Authors: INR 2500/-.

The paid article processing charges will not be refunded at any circumstances.

QIJDEST is a highly prestigious peer-reviewed international journal. Hence, high quality research/review articles alone will be considered for publication. Authors are advised to submit original unpublished manuscript for consideration.

Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement

QIJDEST aims to provide high quality academic articles to our readers. In order to ensure the same QIJEST follows the following ethics standards.

Publication and Authorship

1. Every published papers should list the references in QIJDEST style.
2. Plagiarism and Self-Plagiarism are strictly forbidden.
3. Publishing the same research in different languages or journal is forbidden.

Privacy Statement

The names and email addresses entered in this journal site will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of this journal and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party.

Author's Responsibility

Authors should ensure that their research work is completely original. Providing fraudulent data or inaccurate statements in the manuscript are unethical behavior and are unacceptable at any case. Authors must transfer the signed copyright form to the editorial before publication of the manuscript. It is the responsibility of the corresponding author to get the consent all the co-authors during the publication processes (Submission to Publication). If authors identify significant mistakes or inaccuracy in the published work, it is the fundamental duty of the authors to promptly notify the journal editor or publisher and cooperate with the editor to retract or correct the article.

Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest

All authors should disclose in the manuscript if there is a conflict of interest that might be constructed to influence the study carried out in the manuscript.

Reviewer's Responsibility

Every manuscript must be treated as confidential document. Reviewers should have no conflict of interest with respect to research, authors and research funders.

Publishing Ethics Issues

Plagiarism, self-Plagiarism, duplication and fraudulent date are an offence and treated as unethical behavior. If plagiarism issue arises even after the publication of the manuscript, strict action will be taken by the editorial board of QIJDEST.

Peer-Review Process

All the manuscripts submitted to QIJDEST will undergo double blind review process. All the manuscripts will be sent to minimum of two and maximum of four reviewers who are expert in the subject field. Reviewers will send their recommendation along with the reviews to the editorial office. Once all the reviews received, the editorial board will make the decision based on the manuscripts. The decision will be anyone of the following:

• Accept
• Accept with minor revision
• Reject

Errors in Published Work

If authors identify significant mistakes or inaccuracy in the published work, it is the fundamental duty of the authors to promptly notify the journal editor or publisher and cooperate with the editor to retract or correct the article.

QIJDEST is an open access international journal. The articles published in QIJDEST can be used by other researchers without any restriction provided it should be cited properly.The authors are the real copyright holders of the contents published in QIJDEST.
